Why a war with Iraq?
In July 2018 at the NATO summit in Brussels, it was decided to provide military aid to Iraq, during local elections in the form of a non-combatant unit (NMI) of 34 Lithuanian soldiers. This aid was preceded by military exercises with the Danish army from September 22 to October 20. Lithuanian troops will leave for Iraq in November until the end of April 2022. Lithuanian troops must ensure the protection of NATO troops in Iraq.
This device concerns the climate before the migrant crisis in Belarus since the Ryanair hack on May 23, 2021.The NATO force in Iraq concerns a non-combatant unit intended to support the Iraqi government.
Since 2018 the climate has deteriorated considerably with Belarus. Let's look at the numbers:
migrants in Lithuania between 4 and 8,000 people
unsupervised migrants: 700 people missing in September 2021 in Lithuania
It is difficult to see how the NMI will be able to ensure the protection of NATO troops, in a climate of suspicion of Iraqis migration to Lithuania?
Press reports report flows of Iraqi migrants supported by Turks. Belarusian animosity drives Migrants to revolt against Lithuanian local police. The slightest conflict will be exploited for political ends. Finally, Russian policies favorable to the Islamic State are modifying the political balance, in the context of the end of Lukasencko's reign in Minsk. This creates a dangerous climate in which Lithuania is exposed to an obvious risk of war.How to ensure the maintenance of order in Iraq and Lithuania? Hence the concept of war on two fronts. Our tools concern the planetary climates of the last 2 months of 2021 and the first 4 months of 2022. Not to mention the electoral phases such as that of October 10, 2021
